1. Read Your Bible
Reading your Bible is a great way to remember the significance of Jesus dying on the cross for your sins. There are so many scriptures filled with important reflections and life-changing declarations that are made possible because of that day. Reading your Bible daily sets your eyes and heart on Christ and impacts how you live your life. When you remember the sacrifice Jesus made for you, you will remember why you dedicated your life to living for him. Remembering this is very powerful and can change the way you interact with your family, friends, co-workers, and others you encounter throughout your day.
2. Practice Gratitude
If you don’t know this already, practicing gratitude is extremely powerful. There are so many things to be grateful for, including the death and resurrection of Jesus. We encourage you to start a gratitude journal and write down three things you are grateful for every day. Be sure to remember the sacrifice Jesus made for you and find gratitude in that, even when you’re going through hard times, and it feels like there’s nothing to be grateful for at all.
3. Share the Good News with Someone
As a Christian, you know all about the death and resurrection of Jesus. If you grew up in the Church, you learned about it at a very young age. In fact, John 3:16 was probably one of the very first scriptures you memorized: “For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.” Because of this, it is easy for the death of Jesus to hold less significance over time. Sure, you know it’s amazing, but with the stress and busyness of everyday life, you often go days, weeks, or even months without truly reflecting on its significance. One way around this is to share the good news of Jesus with someone new each week. This keeps it at the forefront of your mind and is a way to make someone else’s day (and life) better, especially if they’ve never given their life to Jesus before.
